At HOPE for All Gulf Coast, our unwavering commitment is to help end homelessness in southwest Alabama. We do this by providing compassionate support, housing solutions, and pathways to stability, ensuring that every individual we serve has the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Initially established in 1992 as Housing First, Inc., our organization was the brainchild of a group of visionary business and faith leaders in downtown Mobile. Witnessing the pressing need to support individuals grappling with homelessness, they laid the foundation for what would evolve into a robust nonprofit. Today, we stand as a testament to their vision, having grown from a grassroots initiative to a well-established entity. We are proud to have touched the lives of thousands of our unhoused neighbors across the Gulf Coast, thanks to our strong partnerships with the public, private, and government sectors.
Our journey has been one of growth and evolution. Over the years, we’ve expanded our reach beyond housing, delivering vital services, advocacy, and programs that uplift individuals and families in crisis. In 2025, to mark our 30th year of service and to better reflect our broader mission, we transitioned from Housing First, Inc. to HOPE for All Gulf Coast. This new name embodies our commitment to providing Housing, Opportunity, Progress, and Empowerment for all our unhoused neighbors in need.
With every program, partnership, and person we serve, we’re unwavering in our commitment to breaking the cycle of homelessness—one life, one home, and one opportunity at a time. Our dedication to this mission is steadfast, and we will continue to work tirelessly until every individual and family in crisis has the support they need.
